The objective in the present application is to develop the basis for a novel treatment of rheumatoid arthritisrelated disorders by combining two existing technologies: photodynamic therapy and Hynosphere¿ nanoparticle technology. The treatment is locally administered to inflamed joints and should replace steroid or radioisotopic injections and is complementary and compatible with the newly developed systemic approaches of treatments, in particular monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapies.
