Short description

Establishment and application of methods to follow protein dynamics by 4D live imaging in zebrafish and Drosophila embryos using the SNAP-tag TM technology.
Abstract
(English)
The aim of this project is to establish methods and protocols for application of the SNAP-tag for live imaging studies in developing Drosophila and zebrafish organisms. Transgenic animals expressing different proteins of interest fused to the SNAP-tag will be generated to image the distribution and the dynamics of these proteins during organ development using 4D confocal microscopy. The ultimate aim of the project is to validate the SNAP-tag for live studies in developing organisms, in particular the SNAP-tag¿s potential for pulse-chase imaging.
