Small Format Film Scanner
Abstract
(English)
XB-Digital ambitions to develop a semi-automatic small format film scanner to offer an affordable film digitalization service to private customers who wish to save their valuable family memories. The story of 'home movies' began in 1923 with the introduction of the 9.5 mm film by Pathé Cinema, which allowed amateur film makers to record motion pictures. In the time period of 1965 to the mid-1980, 450 millions rolls of 8 mm film were sold worldwide. Today, thanks to the latest evolution in digital imaging, these valuable films can get a second life, a digital life. Xb-Digital, building on recent technological advances, intends to become a major player in this business.
