Abstract (English)	The project develops a highly sensitive and robust biosensor system based on self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) for use in medical diagnostics and drug discovery. In medical diagnostics, we intend to develop a rapid, sensitive and inexpensive immunosensing system and apply it for an HIV test for use in viral load and newborns testing. In drug discovery, we aim to further develop results obtained from Top Nano 21 feasibility study, in order to realize flourescence-free cell based assays via monitoring cellular pH changes and K+ ion channel activity.
