Résumé des résultats (Abstract) (Anglais)	One million patients worldwide require renal replacement therapy. The associated costs for treatment approach ten billion dollars annually. In the acute setting, hemofiltration is the preferred treatment modality and accounts for a one billion dollar market. Efficacy of hemofiltration is dependant on the quality of access to the vascular system of the patient. The development of the smart cat will provide a vascular access device with superior performance. The technology owned by Coraflo LLC has proven better performance in cardio-vascular applications.
