Abstract (Französisch)

The goal of the project is to develop a portable monitoring system to evaluate personal medical fitness. A first application will be the evaluation of candidates¿ fitness during pre-employment tests. - The scientific objectives are to provide evidence of workers¿ fitness after convalescence following trauma, as well as ensuring that candidates for positions requiring certain physical abilities will be able to perform the relevant tasks without risks to their health. - The technical objective is to design and develop a portable platform to monitor and log key parameters from the subjects. Sensors for posture, gesture and movement analysis will be attached to the subject during tests and will wirelessly transmit the measured signals to a portable device. This device will perform data fusion and advanced signal processing, will store the data locally and will present the results to the practitioner. The system will significantly improve the assessment of workers for a job opportunity or after a convalescence period. It will give a sustainable competitive advantage to Valmed, since no other system with these features currently exists in the marketplace
