Coronary Artery Disease is the number one killer in Western countries. Today nearly 2¿000¿000 patients are treated every year, and a majority is implanted a stent. Drug Eluting Stents represent the largest market for a single medical device.Within this project we plan to develop the next generation coatings. Ceramics offer several advantages over polymers, in terms of biocompatibility, safety and efficacy
