Parallel, fast, sensitive miniaturized immunoassays for point-of-care testing based on autonomous microfluidic chips
Abstract
(English)
The goal of the project is to enable parallel, quantitative immunoassays using ultra small volumes of sample to detect multiple analytes in a minimum of time and with high sensitivity. Such assays are not available with current technology. Key for success will be to build on our established proof of concept to combine the small form factor of chip technology and the small sample volumes of microfluidics with innovative fluid handling, surface functionalization and efficient signal detection/analysis principles. Chip design, immunoassay development and clinical validation needed for commercialization are part of the research plan.
