The problem of deburring complex workpieces is not yet solved in a satisfying way. The problem of burrsmostly emerges from the intersection of holes, by this disposing the burrs at spots that are difficult to access. The main financing partner as well as the scientific community sees a lot of improving potential in this field.The problem is the following: After the cycle through the machining center the workpieces have to be deburred by hand or re-clamped on aspecialized machine, by this losing time and all precision. The goal of this project is to explore the potential of designing a parallel-kinematic module with double-tiltcapabilities and remote center of motion (RCM) to access and deburdifficult spots on the workpiece. Thismodule is supposed to be inserted in new and existing machines and should permit to deburthe workpiecewithout re-clamping and without slowing down the cycle time.
