Die Dokumente "Anfrage zur Kofinanzierung" vom 13. September 2005 (Beilage) sowie "Deliverable n°D4.1 – RS 1b" vom 29. Juni 2005 (Beilage) sind integraler Bestandteil des Vertrags.
Insbesondere werden folgende im "Deliverable" erwähnten Ziele verfolgt:
The objectives of this work package (WP 4, Stream 1b) are as follows:
- Assessment of external costs of biodiversity losses due to energy production and distribution
à Biodiversity losses due to land-use changes due to energy production and distribution infrastructures
à Biodiversity losses due to energy related airborne emissions (eutrophication and acidification)
- Development of a methodology to assess external costs of biodiversity losses
- Provision of methodological prerequisites for assessment of external costs for single sites as well as for different fuel cycles or technologies in European countries and for energy modelling
This work package will apply an innovative approach to determine biodiversity damages by habitat losses due to the fuel cycles.
The expected results of this work package are:
- Report on the methods to determine biodiversity damages due to energy production and distribution
- External cost rates per PDF for more or less homogeneous country groups. These cost rates, combined with life cycle inventory analyses, can be employed to assess external costs for technologies and for single site evaluations
- Marginal PDF-changes and damage costs per kilogramme of annual deposition for substances leading to acidification and eutrophication as well as per m2 land use change as input to the models used for external cost estimation for countries or fuel cycles.
