For several years a research group has existed under the direction of Prof. Sachs and Prof. Rühli which focuses on the role of firms in the present times with special emphasis on stakeholder management. This research team comprises several PhD students who work as assistants or in firms which are involved in this project.
The research was respectively is supported by the University of Applied Sciences in Business and Administration Zurich, the University of Zurich, the SLOAN Foundation (USA), the Swiss National Science Foundation and the association “Forum Stakeholder View”. This research project is embedded in several networks, e.g. the Academic network of the UN initiative “Global Compact”, International Association for Business and Society, European Academy of Business in Society, Academy of Management (Subdivision Social Issue Management) etc.
