Short description (English)

A preliminary investigation carried out in 2002/03 by the project stakeholders, showed that the linear vibration welding technique can be also used as an Innovative Thermo Treatment Method able to enhance both density and hardness of wooden surfaces. The purpose of this study is to gain quantitative and qualitative knowledge on the potential of the ThermoDens technique.
