Abstract
(Englisch)
Efficient asymmetric synthesis and catalysis is in constant demand from academic and industrial laboratories. The objective of our proposed research is thus to develop new synthetically useful stereoselective transformations, reactions or processes using salts of chiral cationic transition metal complexes or catalysts and stable enantiopure anions of often original structure and geometry; the supramolecular interionic association being the origin of the stereocontrol or a way to modulate the reactivity. During this funding period, we have thus extended the TRISPHAT family of chiral anionic auxiliaries by making new 'functionalized' anions providing novel extended NMR sensing and Lewis basic abilities. We have also demonstrated that the association of these anions with CpRu complexes of diimine ligands allows the modulation of the reactivity of the Carroll rearrangement of allylic -ketoesters; the increased stability of the precatalysts is one of the positive consequences that permit a facile recyclability of the complexes and the use of microwave-assisted heating for increased reactivity.
