Project aims (English)

The elimination of the night shifts disburdens the people and reduces the cost of the service. Reliable observations on small airports. Future goal: Part automatisation of the AERO observation network.

Nachflugrestriktionen auf den Schweizerflughäfen verbieten Starts und Landugen. Trotzdem müssen während 24 Stunden halbstündliche Wetterreports durch Beobachter erstellt werden. Um diesen Dienst zu entlasten, generiert AMETIS2 während dieser Zeit diese Reports vollautomatisch.

Abstract (English)

Night flight restrictions forbid landings or takeoffs at the airports in Switzerland. Nevertheless weather reports have to be generated every half hour by human observers. To disburden this service, AMETIS2 automaticly generates these reports during those periods.
