Short description (English)

The VSS standards for road intersections date from 1972 ; they need a review.
The object of this research project is a synthesis and a critical examination of all the existing documents like standards, Swiss and foreign, research reports, diverse guides, to fix the bases for the updating of the VSS standards for road intersections.
The new domain of gyratories (roundabout).and the traffic of cycling could be integrated.

Les normes VSS relatives aux noeuds routiers datent de 1972 ; elles nécessitent donc une révision.
Le présent projet de recherche a pour objectif de faire la synthèse et l'examen critique de la nombreuse documentation existante, sous forme de normes, suisses et étrangères, rapports de recherche, directives et guides divers et de fixer les bases nécessaires à la mise à jour des normes VSS relatives aux noeuds routiers.
Il permettra en outre d'intégrer tout le domaine nouveau des giratoires ainsi que de prendre en compte le trafic deux-roues léger.

Critical examination of the actual inhabits for the domain of the road intersections in Switzerland and in Europe. Including the new problems of gyratories (roundabout). Elaboration of the bases for the new standards for road intersections.
