Im Rahmen der Brückenforschung (Arbeitsgruppe für Brückenforschung des ASTRA) wur-den bisher circa dreissig Forschungsarbeiten abgewickelt.
Wir verfügen heute über viel Wissen; mit dem Umsetzen in die Praxis tun wir uns jedoch schwer. Obschon die Arbeitsgruppe für Brückenforschung verschiedene Anstrengungen in dieser Richtung unternahm (z.B. Tagungen), besteht die Vermutung, dass die Umsetzung in die Praxis noch verbessert werden kann.
Um dieser Situation Rechnung zu tragen, wurde von Herrn M. Donzel, Präsident der AGB, dieses Forschungsgesuch angeregt mit dem Ziel,
- die Situation zu analysieren
- die geleisteten Forschungsarbeiten methodisch und systematisch bezüglich Umsetzung zu überprüfen (Was ist umgesetzt? Was hat warum Eingang in die Praxis gefunden? Was hat warum keinen Eingang in die Praxis gefunden?)
- konkrete Massnahmen vorzuschlagen, um die Situation zu verbessern.

Alle Forschungsarbeiten im Bereich der AGB sollen systematisch auf den Grad ihrer Umset-zung ausgewertet werden; es sind Gespräche mit anderen Organisationen und Entscheidungs-trägern vorgesehen; Erfahrungen aus dem Ausland (Methoden der Umsetzung; was können wir lernen) sollen im Rahmen des Möglichen berücksichtigt werden.

In the framework of bridge research (working group for bridge research of FEDRO), so far about 30 research projects have been completed.
We have a sound technical knowledge; however we are not too successfull as far as the knowledge transfer into the practice is concerned. Although the working group for bridge research made constant efforts in this direction (conferences for example), it seems that the knowledge transfer into the practice can still be improved.
In order to deal with this situation, M. M. Donzel, chairman of the working group for bridge research, suggested to launch a research project with the scope of
· analysing the situation
· studying the completed research projects methodically and systematically with regard to the transfer into the practice (what has been transferred? What has been introduced in the practice? What has not been introduced in the practice, and why?)
· proposing measures for improving the situation.

All completed research projects in the domain of the working group for bridge research should be analysed systematically with regard to the degree of transfer into the practice; discussions with other organisations and with decision makers should be undertaken; experiences from abroad (methods of knowledge transfer; what can we learn?) should be taken into account if possible.
