Work proposed here would reduce cost and shorten time required for rec. protein production. A new production strategy will take advantage of two technological breakthroughs use of shaking technology and transient gene expression, TGE, with mammalian cells. The ultimate goal is the establishment of an entirely novel, highly efficient cGMP-ready protein production principle. Scientific and technical research aspects of this principle are the object of the project.
