Das Forum suisse pour l'étude des migrations (FSM) wurde 1995 als unabhängiges Forschungsinstitut durch eine Stiftung gegründet. Es führt Grundlagen- und angewandte Forschungsprojekte zur Migration in der Schweiz durch, insbesondere Mandate der Verwaltung, aber auch Privater, sowie in Beteiligung an nationalen Forschungsprojekten. Weiter erbringt es Dienstleistungen in Form von Expertisen und Evaluationen und fungiert als Dokumentationsstelle. Das FSM betätigt sich auch im Bereich der universitären Lehre und der Weiterbildung.

The Swiss Forum on migration studies in Neuchâtel was founded in 1995 as an independet research institute. It carries out fundamental and applied research in the domain of migration. It projects are mainly initiated by mandates of the federal or cantonal administration, but also by private organisations such as NGOs. The Forum participates in research programmes launched at national level. Its services embrace expertises and evaluations as well as a documentation centre. Moreover, the Forum is committed to teaching in the University of Neuchâtel and in various programmes continued learning.

Le Forum suisse pour l'étude des migrations (FSM) à Neuchâtel a été fondé en 1995 en tant qu'institut de recherche indépendant. Il effectue des projets de recherche fondamentale et appliquée concernant la migration en Suisse. Il s'agit notamment de mandats de l'administration, mais aussi de particuliers. Le forum participe aussi à des projets de recherche nationaux. Des expertises et évaluations font partie de ses services, ainsi qu'une centrale de documentation. En outre, le FSM est actif dans le domaine de la formation universitaire et de la formation continue.
