Résumé des résultats (Abstract) (Anglais)

The specific measurable objectives of INTERFACE are the following:
1. To provide an inventory of an assess relevant cases on the borders inside EU(France-Spain, alpine crossing), between EU and Accession Countries (Czech Republic-Austria, Finland-Lithuania) and between EU and Russia;
2. To identify dedicated concepts and combination of concepts limiting or annihilating the lack of border crossing terminal interoperability and interconnectivity;
3. To Analyse and Validate: firstly, formulating development hypotheses, testing in a theoretical view the developed concepts, modelling and assessing the intermodal potential in order to measure the dimensions of the identified concepts and secondly, through running of demonstrations validating scientifically and technically the concepts in real environment;
4. To produce recommendations and an implementation plan for all the decision making level and for the different intervention domains of the logistic chain.
