The Virtual Institute EVIGeM consists of a dense net of European partners that assists and helps members and any external party on all kind of problems concerning geometry measurements. EVIGeM will join the interests of 'clients', requesting metrology expertise and instrumentation with the' providers', offering these technologies. The offered support is listed in a supply catalogue, comprising services on the spot and via internet, mediated consultation and education and a business-to-business platform enabling e-business (on-line services, intranet-bourse, selling support).
5 thematic groups (each about 10 members) are installed (CMM, Form, Gear, Surface, Medicine). EVIGeM as a future legal entity aims at a self-financing status. A bonus and reward system will encourage members to contribute to EVIGeM's prosperity.

Each will comprise about 10 members. A bonus and reward system will encourage members to use, provide and extend EVIGeM services.
