Abstract
(Englisch)
The objective of this Thematic Network (TN) is to co-ordinate RTD projects in industrial gas turbines, including projects from FPIV and FPV covering fossil fuels and biomass, and gas turbines in CHP applications and combined cycles. There are 4 technology clusters: turbo-machinery, combustion, materials and systems. Collaboration within the TN will add value to cluster partners, through greater co-ordination of gas turbine RTD within Europe, enabling industry to become more competitive in world markets. The TN will also co-ordinate the development of low emission technologies of benefit to the environment. RTD, exploitation and dissemination strategies will be developed and the implications for the RTD programme for training will be considered. The TN will operate through cluster workshops and dissemination will be through biennial conferences and a Website. In the partnership are five gas turbine manufacturers, a university, are search establishment and a gas consultancy company.
