This constitutes a medical breakthrough significantly increasing safety and enhancing lifestyle for diabetic patients. This will also contribute to healthcare costs reduction. Moreover this pump is the ideal companion of Sensile¿s glucose sensor which forms the essential element of a feedback information unit for a future autonomous insulin delivery system or artificial pancreas.
