Abstract (Englisch)	BSE-tests presently on the market are based on the binding of the protease resistant part of the prion protein to specific antibodies. The immuno sandwich formed by a capture antibody, PrP and a detection antibody will be investigated by the label free surface plasmon resonance technique (SPR) to identify suitable pairs of antibodies and to find optimal binding conditions. This leads to enhanced sensitivity necessary for a live test.
