Die Fondation Hardt wurde im Jahre 1949 durch den Baron Kurd von Hardt gegründet, mit dem Ziel, das Studim der Antike zu fördern. Sie verfügt über eine spezialisierte Bibliothek und bietet von Mitte Februar bis Ende Oktober bietet Altertumsforschern Unterkunft. Bisher haben etwa 3000 Gäste aus allen Erdteilen dieses Angebot genutzt. Die Fondation Hardt organisiert jeweils im Sommer die sog. "Entretiens sur l'Antiquité classique", deren Ergebnisse sie veröffentlicht. Von 1954 bis 1999 sind 45 Bände erschienen.

Short description (English)

The Hardt Foundation, created in 1949 by Baron Kurd von Hardt, aims to promote the study of classical Antiquity. From mid-February to the end of October, the Foundation welcomes specialists in the field of classical studies. From inception, the Foundation has welcomed 3000 residents from all five continents.
Each summer the Foundation organises symposiums, - les Entretiens sur l'Antiquité classique - which are later published (45 volumes from 1954 to 1999).

La Fondation Hardt, créée en 1949 par le Baron Kurd von Hardt, a pour but de promouvoir l'étude de l'Antiquité classique. De la mi-février à la fin d'octobre, elle accueille pour des séjours d'étude des spécialistes des sciences de l'antiquité. Depuis son ouverture, la Fondation a accueilli environ 3000 hôtes venus des cinq continents. Chaque été la Fondation Hardt organise les Entretiens sur l'Antiquité classique qu'elle publie par la suite (45 volumes parus de 1954 à 1999).
