Abstract

CD40 ligand (CD40L) is a member of the tumor-necrosis factor (TNF) family of proteins and a co-stimulator of immune responses. We propose to perform preclinical testing of an agonist of human CD40L (megaCD40L) using assays in vitro and in vivo mouse models of tumor immunotherapy. Fas ligand (FasL) is a pro-apoptotic member of the TNF superfamily. We have generated a highly active form of FasL (megaFasL). We will perform complete preclinical testing of megaFasL as a potential therapeutic for mesotheliomas
