Abstract
(English)
Research in Fribourg has been focused on the construction of a multi-scale database of surface parameters used in regional climate models (RCM). New data sources were used in the calculation of surface parameters for different spatial resolutions (50km, 20km, 10km, 5km, 2km and 1km). An inventory of consistency rules was realized and synthesized in the form of a workflow chart. Calculation schemes of most parameters were developed conceptually. The IDRISI macro modeler was used for the implementation of the conceptual models. In order to share GIS know-how on developing surface parameters, it was decided to set up workspaces for all parameters. A workspace contains all files required for the calculation of a parameter. They are organized in a well-defined hierarchical structure. Futures developers and users will be able to install, explore and thus better understand the calculation schemes. The only software required is IDRISI32 or upper versions. Several Internet platforms were examined regarding their suitability for publishing the results.
