During the entire activity period, work was accomplished in the three areas covered by this project, i.e., in remote sensing of temperature and humidity using a multiple wavelength radiometer, in the intercomparison experiment TUC, and in the development of improved software for the evaluation of wind profiler data. The last activity was brought to an end in February 2005, work in the two other areas went on until the end of the project. Some of the activities within this activity could be integrated into the 'WMO Intercomparison of High Quality Radiosonde Systems', the inccurring additional costs were covered by central funding from the international COST Office. The aim was to integrate remotely sensed refractivity data with temperature and pressure data obtained in radiosoundings, this in order to derive the vertical humidity profile.
