Abstract
(English)
The LD-Europe projects aims at studying the genetic structure and the pattern of linkage disequilibrium in European populations. Our lab is responsible for the creation and the maintenance of a genetic database made of the data accumulated by our partners in the project. This database will contain the genotypes of more than a thousand individuals coming from 12 populations and typed for about 1000 Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms (SNP). We shall also be responsible for the statistical analyses of these data. At this point we have completed the realization of a web-based online database, accessible on http://zooblythii.unibe.ch/lde. Actual genetic data will be gathered by our partners and integrated into the database in the second year of the project.
