Auftragsumschreibung:
Verständnis der möglichen Interaktion zwischen porcinen endogenen Retroviren (PERV) und menschlichen Zellen.
Entwickeln von sensitiven Testverfahren zur Detektion von PERV im Menschen, respektive zum Nachweis einer Infektion mit PERV nach Xenotransplantation von Geweben oder Zellen des Schweins.
Exploration möglicher Übertragung von PERV auf den Menschen via Nahrungsaufnahme.
