Abstract (Englisch)

ERCIM aims to foster collaborative work within the European research community and development in the fields of computer science and applied mathematics. Furthermore the consortium is committed to increase the cooperation with European industry. It is based on fourteen leading European research establishments from different European countries.

As Switzerland has no national computer science research institute, SARIT became its representant in ERCIM in 1994. Membership in ERCIM promotes the participation of scientists in European research activities. In addition it gives them access to ERCIM grants for the exchange programme for European scientists as well as access to financial help for organizing conferences and workshops.
