Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Anglais)
Objectives and problems to be solved: The objectives of the European Network for Energy Economics Research are: to bring to debate latest research results based on both qualitative and quantitative analysis in fields concerning the relationship of energy, climate change and economy to relevant stakeholders in academia, industry and NGOs in four forums; to strengthen links between national centres in energy/environment policy and economics research, in particular with Eastern European countries, in view of their accession to the European Union, and with Switzerland; to use the network as a springboard for collaborative research on a European scale which will as the final objective of the Network overpass the limited activities pro-posed in the current frame. Description of work: The activities of the ENER Network are structured around the four Forums: ENER Forum 1: Kyoto Mechanisms: Integrating the Kyoto Mechanisms into the National Framework (Krakow, 2001) ENER Forum 2: Monitoring the progress of the implementation of the EU directives (gas and electricity) (Prague, 2001) ENER Forum 3: Renewable Electricity - Green Certificates (Budapest, 2002) ENER Forum 4: Technological change, market reform and climate policies (Bukarest, 2003) The four forums bring together 40-60 participants from inside and outside the Net-work (various stakeholders from academia, policy makers, concerned industries, NGOs). The ENER Network is coordinated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research FhG-ISI and relies on 16 partners from the EU, accession countries and Switzerland. Expected Results and Exploitation Plans: Dissemination activities are the workshops, ENER Proceedings, the ENER Internet site (http://www.eu.fhg.de/ENER/Enerhome.htm), and Internet Proceedings. The forums are mainly held in accession countries, and focus in special sessions on the situation of the EU accession countries. They serve therefore in particular the exchange of views and ideas among the accession countries and EU Member States, and - through the common organisation of the Forums - promote mutual under-standing and cooperation, which the ENER Network has promoted already within the EU for the past 15 years of its existence.
