Abstract
(English)
The BURMA-X project constitutes an integrating R&D effort, seeking to develop and validate a unique, knowledge based Web platform for extended manufacturing enterprises. The project refers to Key Action I, Innovative Products, Processes and Organisation, TRA 1.7 Extended enterprise in particular. Therefore, within BURMA-X we will support the operation of extended enterprises by integrating suitable technologies into an Internet portal, developing additional functionality for cross organisational collaboration, as well as suitable process interfaces for cross organisational business process interoperability. BURMA-X will result to a holistic business relationship management for extended enterprises. De spite its strong industrial focus, BURMA-X significantly contributes to the Community Social Objectives.
