Abstract
(English)
The project intends to provide solutions to the problem of environmental impact of combustion of liquid fuels for heating purposes (by reducing emissions, introducing usage of liquid renewable biofuels and improving efficiency), for the benefit of life and health quality, as well as the preservation of the environment and of the natural resources. The development, prototyping and demonstration of new liquid fuel fired condensing boilers is aimed at, by developing new ceramic premixed liquid fuel burners based on the innovative cool flame vaporization process. The BIOFLAM boiler would take advantage of the 50t European funding of its R&D stage of development to enter the market at a price that is comparable to that of medium-level fuel oil boiler technologies, so that no payback period is required to justify the investment in the BIOFLAM boiler technology. Thus, a rapid market penetration of this innovative boiler technology will be assured.
