Das Fehlen einer wirksamen nicht-chemischen Bekämpfung der Problemunkrautes Blacke (Rumex obtusifolius) ist ein wichtiges technisches Hemmnis für die Umstellung auf den Biolandbau. Auch in ökologischen Ausgleichsflächen verursacht dieses mehrjährige Unkraut beträchtliche Schwierigkeiten. Da das Entwickeln einer integrierten Kontrollstrategie von Rumex ein komplexes Vorhaben darstellt, bedarf es des gemeinsamen, interdisziploären Engagemnts mehrerer Forschugnsgruppen, um eine praxistauglilche Lösung zu erarbeiten.

The absence of an effective and not chemical agent to combat the problem weed rumex obtusifolius obstructs the planned conversion to organic agriculture. Severe problems in ecological equation acreage are caused by this perennial weed. The development of an integrated control strategy is a complex project and the interdisciplinary commitment of several research teams is needed in order to compile a suitable solution.

Die Anschubfinanzierung im Sinne von "Seedmoney" gibt die Möglichkeit, um bis Ende Juni 2003 einen koordinierten Projektantrag für das 6. Rahmenprogramm der EU zu erarbeiten. Die Ausschreibung dieses Programms ist auf den Herbst 2002 zu erwarten.

The kick-off financing named "seed money" offers the possibility to compile a coordinated project application for the sixth frame program of EU until the end of June 2003. The submission of this program is going to be expected in autumn 2002.

Die Anschubfinanzierung ermöglilcht CABI Bioscience in Délemont und der FAL innerhalb kurzer Zeit einen gemeinsamen Projektantrag mit anderen Instituten für das 6. Rahmenprogramm der EU zu erarbeiten., der eine hohe Relevanz für den biologischen Lanbau in der Schweiz hat. Durch dieses Kooperationsprojekt entstehen strategische Allianzen und können Drittmittel für die internationale Zusammenarbeit in diesem Themenbereich beantragt werden.
