Abstract
(English)
Neutronic tests of of an amorphous silicon based flat panel detector provided by Varian, Medical Systems, U.S. have been performed at the reactor facility of the National Institute of Standards (NIST) at Gaithersburg, MD, USA in the period from March-August, 2002. The tests have shown, that the flat panel detector is suited for neutron imaging of dynamic processes and acquiring neutron tomography image sequences in very short time (E.G. 81 images within 40 seconds). Due to the limited dynamic range (12 Bit), the detector is not well suited for quantitative neutron radiography measurements.
