Forschungsprojekt, das die Umsetzung der Landreform Südafrikas, Land Tenure, Land Restitution, Land Re-Distribution zum Thema hat.

Projektziele (Englisch)

Overall goal: To contribute to the refinement of policy and legislation on land reform, rural governance and the enhancement of rural livelihoods.Objectives:1. Deliver a detailed analysis for the Department of Land Affairs.2. Deliver to the Department of Constitutional Development and the Eastern Cape pro-vincial government an analysis of the impact of Land Reform on various issues, i.e. traditional authorities, development planning, policies.Monitor the impact of Land Reform.

Abstract (Englisch)

The project aims to provide detailed feedback to government on the overall coherence of its policy frameworks on land affairs, on the feasibility of programmes derived from these frameworks, on obstacles which are commonly encountered in the course of implementa-tion, and on ways to overcome these problems.

Umsetzung und Anwendungen (Englisch)

The findings of this research have been integrated into the daily work of the authorities involved in land affairs on central, provincial and local level. This process is still ongoing
