Abstract (French)

MadeinLocal is the social network for local life, where consumers can share recommendations about their favorite local merchants (restaurant, bar, accommodation and events) with their friends thereby building a collaborative city guide. MadeinLocal relies on best-in-class technologies: social search, semantic search, merchant booking tools, integration with social networks and mobile devices. The aim of this project is to improve our social search engine with advanced semantic search capabilities based on more intuitive and powerful user interfaces to enter data and to query data. The challenge is to ensure that the content generated by non-expert users (e.g. local merchants) is automatically converted into semantic-rich information.
