The project aims to collect essential information on various sort of regularly produced datasets and statistics usable for studies on the (dis)integration of "immigrant minorities" in Europe; to compute statistical indicators in the field of integration and migration in different European countries and to constitute a harmonized database.

To provide an international database on migration and integration statistical indicators, in order to allow comparative studies. The countries enrolled in this project are Austria, Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland
Abstract
(English)
Abstract : The objective of the study is to collect information on immigrant minorities and to contribute to establishing comparability of these data. Types of datasets to be covered include censes, surveys, panels and various kinds of statistics produced by public authorities, including administrative registers. The end-product of the project will be a database containing meta-data on the technical details of datasets with relevance for studies on the integration of immigrant minorities. In addition and concluding the project, an outline for a future comparative project on indicators measuring the actual status of integration of immigrant minorities in Europe will be drafted on the basis of the knowledge collected about available datasets.
Transfer and application
(English)
The project will allow the measure of integration levels of immigrant minorities in eight European countries. It will also offer the opportunity of a comparative analysis of integration processes in these countries.
