Feasibility study: Electronic on line door lock cylinder integrating a wireless link
Résumé des résultats (Abstract)
(Allemand)
A wireless link offers new innovative use cases for a lock cylinder. The door locks in a building can be serviced from a central station hundreds of meters away. So technicians do not have to get on site to program new access authentications or check the battery status. Batteries will be changed just on time because of automated monitoring. A receptionist in a hotel can program the new access codes from his desk at check-in. Furthermore a hand device such as a mobile phone will be used as a key to get access. This feasibility will investigate the reliability and power consumption issues linked to a wireless link used for such an on line lock cylinder.
