Components used in a titration experiment such as electrodes, stand host controller, ¿ etc will be equipped such as to communicate wirelessly during the experiment. For this purpose, the new ZigBee standard is foreseen to be used, in order to meet important challenges such as: very low power consumption, good communication reliability, security, small space, appropriate networking topology. Furthermore, special instrumentation electronics will be developed to cater for the needs of the different sensor types, while keeping the price and the power consumption low. Furthermore, an identification scheme will be developed for pairing the components used in an experiment, in order to insure the implementation of a plug and play system that will reduce the complexity of the operator¿s work. Although developed in first line for titration instruments, an eye will be kept open to later adapt the design to ph-meters.
